How do I submit my press release?
Email it to editor@nwbusinessmonthly.com. If you do not have email, releases can also be faxed to 360.671.3934 or mailed to 2423 E. Bakerview Rd., Bellingham, WA 98226.

What is the deadline for submitting press releases?
The deadline to receive press releases for consideration for publication is the 10th of the month for the following month’s magazine. (For example, March 10 for the April issue.)

What if I submit my press release on time but don’t see it in the next issue?
Due to the high volumes of press releases we receive and the space allotted in each issue for releases, your press release may be "in the queue” until a subsequent issue.

What do I include in a press release?
NWBM publishes news in five categories: business news, people news, new businesses (Beginnings), charitable/volunteer activities (Good Works), and calendar items (online only).
For any of these categories, the recipe for a complete release is as follows:
-  Start with the news. Who or What is newsworthy?
-  Add some detail, such as why your company received an award or a new employee’s past experience.
-  Wrap up with a brief paragraph about your business.
-  Don’t forget to include your business’s name and location, as well as contact information if we have questions regarding the release.

How long should a press release be?
No longer than one page. Often, less than a page is sufficient.

Do you accept photos?
Yes, medium- to high-resolution digital photos are welcome. JPEG or TIF format is preferable.
